Teacher arrested for impersonation

The Police in Pallisa have arrested a man identified as Kakaire William a 29-year-old teacher and resident of Kironda cell, Kironda ward Idudi town council in Bugwei district for pretending to be an employee of the National Drug Authority.

Trouble for Kakaire came on 17th May 2022 when he was found by Okolimong Charles the Paliisa district drug inspector, at Gogonyo town council dressed like a senior medical clinical officer.

According to ASP Alaso Immaculate the PRO Bukedi North Region, the suspect was also in possession of the national drug authority records book while inspecting the drug shops and issuing licenses.

Okolimong interviewed him and later discovered that he was not a medical worker.

He alerted the Police who arrested the suspect immediately and handed him over to Gogonyo police station for investigations.

A case of personation and unlawful possession of government stores has also been opened at Agule police station.

The medical worker’s uniform and the national drug authority records book were all recovered from the suspect and exhibited.

“We want to thank the Pallisa District drug inspector for the vigilance and call upon all those that could have fallen victim to the suspect to come to police and help us with investigations,” says Alaso.
