Man strangles wife to death in Nansana

The Police in Nansana are investigating a murder of a woman by her husband which happened on Tuesday morning at around 8am.

Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan area identified the deceased as Bonabana Jane, 45 years who was strangled to death by her husband Asaba Andrew, 59, a casual laborer.

According to Owoyesigyire, the incident was reported by Kamya Masudi, the defence secretary of nabweru south cell 2 Nansana division.

Police rushed to the scene and the body of the deceased person was conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for Postmortem, while Asaba Andrew has also been arrested and is currently detained at Nabweru police station on allegation of Murder.

Owoyesigyire says they are yet to find out the motive for this murder.
