Man murders wife for cheating with his brother, buries her Stealthily

The Police in Rubanda is investigating circumstances under which a man murdered his wife and stealthily buried her.

Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police spokes person identified the deceased as 31 yaer old Alibina Tusimomwe of Kitari cell Kashekyera parish Ruhija sub county Rubanda district.

Her body was discovered by locals buried, in the night of 09/02/2021 after her husband Dismus Muhumuza killed and buried her. He is currently on the run.

It’s alleged that the suspect who was not staying at home suspected the cousin brother one Viani Turyahebwa of having an affair with his wife now the deceased.

And on the 09/02/2021, a report of attempted murder was made at Ruhija when he critically cut and injured Viani and had been rushed to Kabale referral hospital where is admitted. When the relatives learnt of the matter, they started searching for the suspect and in the process, they discovered the grave where the wife was buried and an empty one on the side where he intended to bury Viani.

“They went wild and burnt five houses of his brothers and his father who have fled the area. Police visited the scene and today (11/02/21) the body was exhumed upon a court order, Post-mortem done and handed over to relatives as the hunt for the suspect is being made so that is brought to book” Maate said.
