78 Ugandans, one Venezuelan National pardoned by President Museveni on Prerogative of Mercy – list

President Yoweri Museveni has pardoned 79 prisoners on the Prerogative of Mercy.

“IN EXERCISE of the power vest in me under Article 121 (1) (a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, 1995 as amended and on the advice of the Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy, 1 hereby grant pardon to the persons below, on public health and humanitarian grounds” the letter from President Yoweri Museveni reads.

In the January 3rd, 2022 letter, the president pardoned 78 Ugandan Nationals and one Venezuelan National, Doralys Rodriguez Fagundez.

The Ugandan Nationals are; Kamoga Gerald, Kadogo Charles, Kyakimwa Deborah, Tthungu Mary, Kabamuraze Socolasitic, Muhereza Eliot, Muhawenimana Ezra, Ssemakula Swaibu, Adebo David, Edema Kennedy, MugabeJayee, Tumwekwasise Benon, Murokore Francisco, Nsimire Kevin Byanahanga Lawrence, and Nuwasiima Felix.

Others are; Mugisha Abel, Ainebyoona Hillary, Rutafa Godfrey, Gatete Hamuza, Nsereko Ronald, Nsubuga David, Musana Peter, Mashero Ronald, Mashika Paul, Anywa Jespa, Mugudwa Amos, Adbul Karim, Mugisa Robert, Masereka Emmanuel, Barijwaha Philimon, Byaruhanga Eriya, Kyaligonza, Akidi Santina, Obote Hellen, Byaruhanga Edson, Mumbere Musheisin, Katonezi Stanley, Nakazibwc Rehema, and Nabukeera Madina.

President Museveni also pardoned; Okot Sunday, Muwanguzi Adidas, Okumu Francis, Busobozi Kenneth, Takisa Joseph, Kigundu Israel, Zimonia Tera, Kayongo Denis, Atwiine Brian, Agu Swaibu, Ochieng Richard, Ahammed Bourn Juma, Okwi Kasim, Ekwaro Sam, Owani Denis, Ecia James, Kyamanya Godwin, Ego Aron Alias Junior, Mugwanya Mathias, Awany James, Cpl Sabot Herbertson, Tumusiime Benard, Oyeka Anthony, Lopus Peter, Lokiru Paul, Wanyama Livingstone, Mfutumukiza Lawrence, Twinomugisha G, Njagala John, Pte Lotwa Alex, Nyanzi Emmanuel, Zirimu James, Muhangi Peter, Namugabu Paul, Tarizeba Ronald, Mukalugwire Nyisa, Turyatunga Innocent, and  Mutumba Ronald.
