Kisoro man murders wife, hands himself to police

Police in Kisoro has arrested a 25-year-old man for the murder of his wife. The suspect is Turyakira Lauben alias Murioha a resident of Mugambwa village, Kahurire ward, Nkuringo town council Kisoro district.

The incident happened last night when Turyakira assaulted his wife Kyimpaye Agnes to death in a domestic brawl.

Thereafter, the suspect handed over himself to Bukimbiri police post.

However, after learning of the incident, the deceased’s relatives went and destroyed six houses that belong to; the suspect Turyakira Lauben, and his relatives Kabagenyi Florence, Nyirahanje Lillian, and one of Edisa.

Police rushed to the scene and the situation was brought to normal.

On Sunday morning, a team of Police officers from Cps Kisoro visited the scene, the body was taken to the mortuary, and postmortem was done.

Police also picked two suspects in connection to malicious damage and these were identified as Stephen Munezero and Byaruhanga Kerisho who were taken in for questioning.
