Kenyan National collapses to death in Old Taxi Park

Detectives at Central Police Station in Kampala have commenced investigations into the sudden death of a Kenyan national identified as Lynet Mujuma, 45.

The incident happened on Saturday at around 17:00 hrs at Mbale stage in the Old Taxi Park, downtown Kampala City.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO KMP, it is alleged that before her death, the deceased, had been admitted to Mulago Hospital under the care of her cousin, Bernard Wafula.

“She decided to escape from the hospital, but while she was seated in a taxi registration number UBC 512R, she collapsed and died on the spot,” Owoyesigyire says.

Police were called in and the body was taken to the City mortuary for a post-mortem. Investigations into the cause of her death are ongoing.
