Horror as 14-year-old girl is knocked dead in Kabale

Police in Kabale is holding one Kitaka Abdul a resident of Mukono for knocking dead, a 14-year-old girl.

Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesperson identified the victim as one Denise Ainebyona, daughter to Justus Byomuhangi of Nyamirambira B” village Kicumbi parish Kamuganguzi sub county Kabale district.

Denise was knocked dead on Wednesday morning by a speeding car reg no UBG659 G double carbine Toyota Hilux driven by Kitaka.

The accident happened at around 09:00hrs along Katuna Kabale highway few meters from the victim’s home as she was riding a bicycle and she was knocked from behind.

The driver did not stop after the accident until it was intercepted from Muhanga police check point. It is currently parked at Kabale police station pending inspection.

Postmortem was done and body handed over to relatives for burial as inquiries into the matter to establish the likely cause are ongoing.
