Uganda confirms 326 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths
Uganda has confirmed 326 new COVID-19 cases from tests done on 11 September 2020, the highest number the country has registered in a day, since the outbreak in March.
The cumulative total confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 4,703.
The ministry of Health says 3 COVID-19 deaths were also registered from Kampala today.
This brings the total COVID-19 deaths to 52.
Of the 326 new cases, 317 are contacts and alerts; 94 from Kampala, 93 from Buikwe, 29 from Kitgum, 17 from Gulu, 19 from Moroto, 10 from Mbale, 9 from Amuru, 8 from Kapchorwa, 7 from Pader, 5 from Nwoya, 5 from Bududa, 5 from Mukono, 4 from Wakiso, 2 from Jinja, Omoro 2, Sironko 3, Zombo 2, Arua 1, Namisindwa 1and Tororo 1.
Also, 9 returnees also tested positive and these were: India 5, Burkina Faso 1, Iraq 1, Italy 1 and Kenya 1.
Uganda currently has 4,703 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 52 deaths and 1,998 recoveries.
