Two dead, three injured following gas explosion in Mbarara

Two people are dead, following a gas explosion in Kisenyi Mbarara City. The explosion also left three other people with serious injuries., which

According to Samson Kasasira the PRO Rwiizi, the deceased persons are yet to be identified. However, those who were injured include Kamusiime Gashom, Tumwebaze John, and another unidentified person, all admitted to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for treatment.  

It is alleged that the explosion happened at a scrap metal shop where they were trying to cut the gas cylinder. It exploded, killing the two instantly.  

Police teams from Mbarara Central Police Station have cordoned off the scene and bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to Mbarara Referral Hospital for postmortem.
