Panic as unidentified man attacks Hon. Nambooze in her bedroom

The Police in Mukono are investigating an incident that happened today, 19th/10/2021, around 0600hrs at Nakabago cell, Ntawo ward, Central Division, Mukono Municipality when an unknown man tall, dark skinned and putting on a suit jacket, who gained access into Hon Betty Nambooze’s residence and went straight to her bedroom.

The MP’s bedroom was reportedly open at the time of the incident as she was planning to go for a meeting at Parliament.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire the PRO KMP, it is alleged that the Hon. Nambooze made an alarm and her husband Bakireke came to her rescue by grabbing the man pushing him outside.

“The suspect later escaped and jumped onto a motorcycle waiting for him outside as witnessed by some neighbors” Owoyesigyire says.

The police have recovered two brand new pangas in a sack at a small garden of tomatoes in the hounarable’s premises.

Other items of material evidence have also been recovered.

Police also recorded statements from relevant witnesses and have embarked on viewing CCTV footages with an aim of identifying the rider.
