Kabale man found hanging in his bathroom

Police in Kabale is investigating circumstances an alleged death by suicide of a man who hang himself.

Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Spokesperson identified the deceased as Gilbert Byaruhanga a defense Secretary of Rujita cell, Rushaki ward, Southern division, Kabale municipality.

Byaruhanga was on Tuesday morning found hanging in the bathroom of his house.

Maate says that last evening when his wife reported from work, she found the door locked and expected the husband to be somewhere but waited in vein and opted to spend a night in the neighbourhood.

However, today morning they found when the door was still intact which rose suspicions and prompted them to break in, only to find him dangling.

Bashir Abdallah the area chairperson immediately reported to Kabale police station. Officers visited the scene was and Post-mortem done.

Maate says inquiries are underway to establish the cause.
