45-year-old woman flees village in Kaliro district after killing husband

A 45-year-old woman identified as Jenipher Nakisendo, a resident of Kalalu Village in Bumanya sub county Kaliro district is on the police radar for allegedly killing her husband, Fred Olukwagana aged 58 years. 

It is reported that Nakisendo hit Olukwagana with a pestle twice in the head, before fleeing from the village.

Nakisendo and her husband were engaged in a domestic brawl after accusing him of leaving home on Wednesday and instead returned on Thursday morning without prior communication.

According to Jackson Lubola the village defense secretary, neighbors alerted him on how they had noticed blood spilling out of the couple’s house. 

They then alerted police authorities who rushed and inspected the scene, retrieved his lifeless body before directing neighbors to clean the scene of crime.

Michael Kasadha the Busoga North police spokesperson confirmed the incident adding that efforts of tracking down the suspect are underway. 

He also challenged members of the general public to adopt peaceful means of handling conflicts other than opting for violence tendencies.

The body has been conveyed to Bumanya health center IV mortuary for postmortem.
