UPDF deserted in trouble for stabbing wife to death over suspected cheating

The police of Kapchorwa have arrested a man for stabbing his wife to death. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at 4:00 pm at California cell, Chepsukuroi Ward, opposite Kapchorwa Central Police Station.

Fredmark Chesang the area spokesperson identified the suspect as Somin Alex, a resident of Sirinda village, Ngangata parish, Kaptanya SC in Kapchorwa district.

Somin is believed to be a UPDF deserter. The deceased is his wife Chebet Stella.

It is alleged that the couple was engaged in a domestic quarrel before the incident. According to Chesang, preliminary information indicates that the man suspected his wife to be involved in a love affair with other men.

The deceased’s body has been conveyed to Kapchorwa hospital mortuary pending postmortem as inquiries into the matter continue.
