Two More Arrested Over Soroti Murder and Aggravated Robbery
Police in the East Kyoga region have made two additional arrests in connection with the aggravated robbery and fatal shooting of Konkunda Patricia, which occurred on 3rd April 2026 in Soroti City.
ACP Kituuma Rusoke, the police spokesperson, identified the suspects as Apolot Agnes, 41, a resident of Akakai Ogobai village in Arapai Sub-county, Soroti District, and Akelo Salome, her mother-in-law.
Following the earlier arrest of Emmanuel David, also known as Alibong, Kituuma stated that the two suspects retrieved the murder weapon from their house and buried it in a nearby garden in an attempt to conceal evidence.
The suspects later fled their home but have since been apprehended. Upon arrest, they cooperated with the police, leading to the recovery of 18 rounds of ammunition.
Preliminary findings also suggest a history of criminal activity linked to the family, although further details are yet to be disclosed.
“But what I would like to mention is that the gun used in the murder had earlier been recovered by police, and the newly arrested suspects are currently detained at CPS Soroti as investigations continue,” Kituuma said.
