Thursday, Friday Declared Public Holidays ahead of Tomorrow’s General election
As Ugandans across the country prepare to go to polls, Government through the Ministry of Public Service has announced Thursday January 14th 2021 and Friday January 15th 2021 as a Public Holidays.
According to Catherine Birakwate the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Public Service, the move is meant to allow all Ugandans especially those employed, to take part in the General Election.
“The Hon. Minister of Public Service informs the general public that Thursday 1th January 2021 and Friday 15th January 2021 will be observed as Public Holidays throughout Uganda to enable citizens participate in the election of the President and Members of Parliament” Birakwate writes.
Ugandans will go to polls on Thursday to elect a President and Members of Parliament for their respective areas.
