Panic as two people are buried by stone debris in Ibanda

Two people have been confirmed dead after being buried by stone debris in Katooma, Mabanga, Kagongo Division in Ibanda Municipality.

According to reliable sources, two people, one only identified as Michael and another whose identity was not readily available, were working in a stone quarry they got buried.

 Their bodies have also been retrieved and they both belong to the same family.

Several families in Katooma depend on stone quarrying for livelihood. Both parents and children are involved in the business with many young people dropping out of school to make some quick cash.
