Four notorious criminals arrested in Kabale

The police in Kabale have arrested four suspects who are part of a group of notorious habitual criminals listed as most wanted for terrorizing Kabale municipality.

The arrests took place on the night of 3rd April 2024, at their respective hideouts within the municipal council.

The suspects have been identified as Joshua Akanyijuka, also known as Tony; Cliff Amanya, alias Wiclif; Bruce Tukamushaba, known as Killer Man; and Augustine Christmas, also called Tigita.

Elly Maate, the PRO for the Kigezi police region, told our reporter that these suspects have been repeatedly arrested, taken to court, and imprisoned. However, upon release, they resume their criminal activities, indicating a lack of rehabilitation.

Maate urged anyone with complaints against them to report to CPS Kabale for ongoing inquiries into their case files. He warned that these operations will continue until order is restored.
