Kisoro Municipality OWC Commander commits suicide

Police in Kisoro are investigating circumstances under which Rtd Capt Bagabe Clever the Commander Operation Wealth Creation for Bufumbira South constituency and Kisoro municipality committed suicide by hanging.
Bagabe, a resident of Bigiva Village in Kisoro municipality was found hanging dead on a rope at his place of residence on 17/08/2022 at about 1900hrs.

ASP Elly Maate the PRO Kigezi says officers visited and examined the scene before conveying the body to Kisoro hospital mortuary for postmortem.

It is alleged that Col Kayiita Deo the Commander OWC for Kisoro district called the deceased’s phone but did not get any answer.
This prompted him to go and check on him physically, only to find him dead hanging for an unknown reason.
Maate says investigations are underway.
