Two dead, five critically injured in kayunga road morning accident

Police at Mukono are investigating circumstances under which two people were killed and five others injured in an accident that occurred today morning at about 8am at midway super market located along kayunga road.

The incident occured when a fuso truck Reg. No. UBG 408 E coming from Kayunga side lost control and rammed into a motorcycle UEJ 973V and a Harrier UBA 980T that were stationery.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO Kampala metropolitan area, one pedestrian identified as Kasumba Florence and Lubega Charles the rider of the motorcycle involved in the accident were fatally wounded.

Five other people sustained serious injuries, they have been identified as; Bulamba Benon, Kigundu Moses, Nakitende Hope, Lubega Shafik and Henry and are currently admitted at Mukono General Hospital.

The dead bodies were conveyed to Kawolo Hospital Mortuary for postmortem as investigations into the accident continue.
