18-Year-Old Killed as Gunmen Raid Mukono Bar

Detectives at Naggalama Police Station have launched an investigation into a case of murder and aggravated robbery that occurred in the early hours of June 12, 2025, at around 2:00 a.m. at Nkonge Captain Night Bar in Kyampisi Sub-county, Mukono District.

According to SSP Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Agaba Simon, a cleaner at the bar, who was fatally shot by unknown armed robbers.

Preliminary reports indicate that the assailants stormed the bar and demanded money from the employees. Agaba reportedly attempted to call the bar owner, an action that allegedly angered one of the robbers, who then shot him dead.

The attackers fled the scene with mobile phones, personal belongings, and an unspecified amount of cash.

Police officers responded promptly to the incident, documented the scene, and transported the body to Kayunga Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Statements have been recorded from eyewitnesses, including barmaids who were present during the attack.

Investigations are ongoing as police work to identify and apprehend the suspects.
