Woman in trouble for kidnapping own 4-year-old son to extort money from husband

The police have arrested a mother who kidnapped her own four-year-old son identified as Male Dan, as a means to extort money from her husband.

CP Fred Enanga the police spokesperson says the child was allegedly kidnaped for ransom by an unidentified kidnapper at Nansana West 1B in Nansana municipality.

The victim was playing with other kids in the neighborhood when he was grabbed and disappeared.

Police investigations however revealed that the child’s biological mother Kizza Annet and her sister Tumusiime Annet conspired to extort Shillings 32 million which was being demanded as ransom from the father of, who is also her husband, Ssebulime Dennis.

Enanga says this is a common mistake made by women when they want money from their husbands. He advised women to follow lawful processes to get money from their husbands or risk being arrested.

The women confessed to the crime and are being held by police.
