Unpopular Opinion UG Hosts Bold Third Live Edition at Naguru Skyz Protea
On September 7th, the Naguru Skyz Protea buzzed with excitement as the Unpopular Opinion UG podcast hosted its third live show, captivating an audience with raw, unfiltered discussions.
If you haven’t yet encountered the dynamic trio behind this podcast—Claire Muhire, Prim Nyonyozi, and Fiona Kemigisha—then you’re missing out on one of Kampala’s most unapologetic platforms for bold, thought-provoking conversations.
More than just a podcast, Unpopular Opinion UG has become a movement, creating a safe space for challenging societal norms while uplifting women through creative expression.
Organized by Khama Digital Content Hub, the well-attended event brought together over 150 guests to delve into the intriguing theme: “The Man of Her Dreams vs. The Woman of His.” The trio was joined by a panel of esteemed speakers, including renowned blogger and digital marketer Bernard Ewalu Olupot (Beewol), mental health advocate and artist Wonder JR, and Reverend Captain Gideon Mwesh, who contributed spiritual perspectives on modern relationships.
Beewol’s remarks ignited lively debate, particularly when he tweeted during the event, “In every relationship, there’s give & take, since it involves sacrifice—whether it’s power or boundaries. That’s what makes a relationship work.” He also encouraged introspection over societal pressure, adding, “Forget what the world thinks; it’s just you two that matter.”
One of the most compelling points came from Claire Muhire, who highlighted the importance of empowering boys as future allies rather than adversaries. “Girls are raised to be wise, while men are simply raised to be men,” she remarked, challenging the audience with the question: “Are the ladies ready for an emotionally available man?” This sparked a passionate discussion on the evolving dynamics between men and women in relationships, underlining the need for respect, support, and celebrating strong women.
Beyond the engaging conversations, attendees were treated to delicious meals, music, and ample networking opportunities.
Breaks allowed guests to expand their social circles, while a pop-up shop area showcased vendors like Remedy Spa, Natuel Organics, iCandy, and Me Time by Sheenz, offering free samples and exclusive discounts.
With over 32,000 YouTube subscribers and a rapidly growing social media following, Unpopular Opinion UG is proving that it’s more than just talk—it’s a movement for change.
