Uganda Cranes Captain Denis Onyango Hastily retires

Denis Onyango, the Uganda Cranes Captain and Goalkeeper has officially retired from Uganda National Football Team, The Cranes, effective today April 12, 2021.

In a letter addressed to FUFA President Moses Magogo, Onyango says it has been a great pleasure and honor to represent Uganda and | will always appreciate the experience and knowledge that he gained while playing for the Cranes.

“I believe that my notice-period is sufficient enough for the technical team to adequately prepare my replacement for the upcoming matches. By remaining a true patriot and supporter of football in my beloved Uganda I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and challenges” he writes

Onyango’s retirement comes days after an audio of Onyango speaking against FUFA president Magogo’s utterances that the national team has been playing shitty football.

Onyango in the audio, advised Magogo to find a new team as he was not willing to play for such an ingrate.
