Two arrested for murder of their colleague

Detectives at Nwoya CPS in Nwoya District territorial command have in custody two suspects following the murder of a 28-year-old man.

The deceased has been identified as Madanda Kepson a casual labourer and resident of Nabyesi Village in Bududa District.

The suspects are Manisulu Kizito, also a casual labourer and resident of Te-ojaa Village, Lutuk Parish, Lii Sub-county in Nwoya District and Manisulu Sempala, another casual labourer and resident of the same area.

According to ASP Ongom David Mudong the PRO Aswa River Region, at around 1600hrs on 26/02/2023, the deceased went drinking with the suspects to a nearby trading centre.

The trio later went back to their residential camps drunk. Unfortunately, the deceased lost his way to his manyatta and came back to his friends.

However, for unclear reasons, Mudong says the suspects assaulted him while escorting him to his manyatta. On 27/02/2023, the deceased was found lying dead inside his manyatta.

The police Homicide detectives led by the district SOCO of Nwoya visited the scene, documented it and recorded statements from relevant witnesses.

The postmortem was done at the scene by a Pathologist from Anaka General Hospital.

The two suspects are detained at Nwoya CPS to help in investigations.
