One person succumbs to injuries from collapsed Fido dido building

One of the victims injured this afternoon when a building on Kampala road caved in, has succumbed to the injuries.

The victim only identified as Mama Nava a resident of Nsambya died this evening and her body has been conveyed to city mortuary mulago for post-mortem.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy spokesperson KMP, detectives are still moving around different hospitals to ascertain the real number of those injured during the incident.

By Monday evening, Police at Cps had dispatched a team at Mulago Casualty ward after getting contradictory numbers of the victims. Their findings indicated that after the caving in of the Ceiling, different groups of people started rushing the victims to Mulago hospital and other health facilities in Kampala. At Mulago alone, police confirmed 18 victims who were injured as a result of the collapse.
