Man poisons self, 3 year old daughter to death in Luuka

Residents of Inuula village in Ikumbya Sub County in Luuka district are in shock after one of their own, 34-year-old Paul Lubogo decided to end his life together with that of his three-year-old daughter, Janet Baseka, on Tuesday night.

The duo’s lifeless bodies were found lying on the floor of their living room. Residents say Lubogo laced food with poison before serving himself and his daughter. 

It is reported that the deceased’s had parted ways with estranged wife, Faith Namatende, because of endless violence.

Namatende says she resolved to abandon my matrimonial home early this year, but, did not think Lubogo was capable of killing himself and the child.

According to Kennedy Ochaya the Acting Luuka District Police Commander, the food samples collected from two plates found near the deceased confirmed traces of poison.
