Keddi Foundation Donates Food, Blankets, Mattresses, And Money To Help People Affected By Mudslides In Bulambuli District

One week after the disaster, attention is turning to the relocation of residents to safer areas amid continuing rains and a heightened fear of more landslides following days of rainfall unlatched a torrent of mud and debris to bury some parts of the Bulambuli District in mountain Elgon region.

The Keddi Foundation a non-governmental organization has provided 1,000 blankets, 1000 bags of posho, and 1000 mattresses to the community people that lost their loved ones. 

In addition, the Keddi Foundation also gave the chairman of areas a claque of one million US Dollars to help the affected persons in the community.

“I learned with deep sorrow the loss of life resulting from a massive landslide that swept the slopes of Mt. Elgon in eastern Uganda,” said Keddi Steven the founder Keddi Foundation.

“These things have been dispatched with much urgency to assist in search and rescue operations and coordinating logistics on the ground,” he added.
