Horror as locals discover bodies of two lovers in Mukono

The Territorial Police of Nagalama are investigating the death of a couple which happened on Monday, August 21, 2023, in Bugereka Village, Nakifuma Nagalama Town Council, Mukono District.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO KMP, the incident happened a 7:00 AM on Monday. It is reported that officers at Nagalama Police Station received a distress call about a lifeless body of a young woman discovered beside the roadside, drenched in a pool of blood.

The officers rushed to the scene and were able to identify the deceased as Namuku Phiona, a 20-year-old resident of Bugereka Village.

According to her mother, Phiona had left her home on the evening of August 20, 2023, around 9:00 PM, to visit her boyfriend, Kibazo Samuel, aged 58.

However, as detectives investigated the incident with Kibazo thought to be the suspect behind the murder, they discovered later in the evening at 6:00 that he had committed suicide within the same vicinity.

Both bodies, that of Namuku Phiona and Kibazo Samuel, were retrieved and conveyed to Kayunga Hospital for postmortem examinations.
