Couple Found Dead After Reported Quarrel in Mubende
Police in Mubende District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a couple, Tumusiime Ronald, 37, and Kamukama Justine, 40, who were found lifeless in their home.
The incident occurred on April 20, 2026, at Luwesama Cell, Nabingola Town Council in Mubende District. According to the Wamala Region Police spokesperson, SSP Lameck Kigozi, the bodies were discovered at around 5:00 p.m. by a neighbour after the couple’s two-year-old child was heard crying inside the house.
Senabulya Elvis, a neighbour, told authorities that he became concerned when the child’s cries persisted into the evening. Upon checking, he found the house locked from the inside. He then forced open a window, where he saw the bodies lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
He immediately alerted local leaders, who reported the matter to Nabingola Police Station. Officers, later joined by the Mubende District homicide team, forced entry into the house.
Kigozi said there were signs of a physical struggle, including several broken household items. The bodies also had deep cut wounds.
According to eyewitnesses, the couple had been heard quarrelling on the evening of April 19.
The bodies were taken to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem examination.
“We condemn all forms of domestic violence and advise those in abusive relationships to seek help from relevant authorities,” Kigozi said.
