17 suspected thugs arrested in City Operations

The Police in Kampala has arrested 17 suspects in an effort to clean the city of thugs.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO KMP, the territorial Police of Kawempe carried out operations on Wednesday and arrested the 17 suspected thugs dubbed “Kasolo boys” from the Jinja Kaloli area.

Owoyesigyire says the group has been terrorizing residents of Kawempe. They were found aboard a taxi Toyota Hiace registration UBK 813F.

It is alleged that the group uses the vehicle to deploy thugs in different areas with the motive of robbing locals and then picking them up after their robbery missions.

Upon getting this information, the vehicle was intercepted and suspects arrested.
