Vumbula Uganda Festival Returns To Jinja For 3 Days

After a triumphant event last year that drew crowds by the thousands, the Vumbula Uganda Festival is set to make its grand return to Jinja from May 31 to June 3, 2024, at Nile Nest Resort.

An annual extravaganza, the dynamic three-day festival promises to showcase the best of Ugandan art, music, culture, and cuisine in a vibrant celebration.

Launching with a bang on Friday, May 31, the festival will feature an impressive lineup of artists, cultural performances, tourism activities, art and craft exhibitions, live band performances, and more.

Organized by Vumbula Events Uganda, the festival boasts over 200 acts set to headline the upcoming event, offering attendees an unforgettable experience against the picturesque backdrop of Jinja.

“We’re thrilled to bring back another fantastic edition of the Vumbula Festival to Jinja over Uganda Martyrs weekend, celebrating our rich culture, delicious food, lively music, and captivating dance. We invite all tourism enthusiasts to join us for this incredible celebration,” remarked Peter Sebulime, CEO of Vumbula Uganda.

“In partnership with several security agencies, we’re ensuring ample security measures are in place for the event. Attendees can expect a safe and magical experience like never before,” he added.

Greening the Nile Under the theme “Investing in the Green Legacy of the Nile,” the festival will also include a tree planting session of 300 trees as part of efforts to preserve the Nile River, the world’s longest river.

With non-stop entertainment across all three days, the Vumbula Festival promises to be the ultimate destination for revelers to revel in Uganda’s rich cultural diversity.
