Uganda’s COVID-19 deaths hit 106 as cases soar to 11,767

The number of people that have died in Uganda due to Corona Virus has reached 106, following confirmation of 3 new deaths in Kampala on Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Health, the confirmed COVID-19 cases are now at 11,767 following 146 new cases confirmed from samples tested on Tuesday.

7,461 people have also recovered since the outbreak in March, while 541,422 samples have been tested to date.

The breakdown of the 146 new contacts and alerts; Kampala (74), Kiryandongo (16), Gulu (11), Sironko (11) and Mbale (7). Others are; Tororo (5), Wakiso (5), Busia (7), Soroti (3), Isingiro (2), Kabale (1), Kasese (1), Luwero (1) and Mukono (2).

Currently, 44,357,525 cases have been confirmed, 1,173,805 deaths recorded and 32,505,094 recoveries across the world.
