Two Men Arrested for Defrauding British National of £5,970
The police in Kampala have arrested two businessmen from Kawaala Central Zone, Rubaga Division: Kizito Jonathan, alias Jona, aged 27, and Kyalimpa Titus, aged 20, for allegedly defrauding a British national of some money.
SSP Patrick Onyango, the PRO for Kampala Metropolitan Police, states that the accused defrauded John Bridges of £5,970, which was intended to support orphanage organizations in Uganda.
According to Onyango, the suspects allegedly obtained the money between 2020 and 2024, claiming it would be used for the Children of God Orphanage in Uganda.
However, instead of using the funds as promised, they used the money for their benefit. He indicates that the duo will face charges of obtaining money by false pretense at the Buganda Road court.
