Simeo Nsubuga attempts to disarm guard, shoot at rival supporters

Several supporters of the ruling National Resistance Movement Party in different parts of the country are nursing wounds after being beaten up by supporters of rival camps.

But while supporters are fighting eachother, their leaders have also joined the physical fights with some even shooting at these innocent people.

In Kassanda South, incumbent MP Simeo Nsubuga attempted to disarm his guard with an aim of shooting at his rival’s supporters, but was overpowered by security.

Nsubuga lost the NRM Parliamentary Primaries to a one Michael by a short margin of only 162 votes. However, a violent Nsubuga who did not want to concede, took the anger out on supporters. Earlier in Ntungamo, former attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana shot someone and police has since arrested him. It remains unclear however if Nsubuga too was arrested.
