Man arrested for stabbing 3-year-old child to death

The police in Nagalama are investigating the murder of Mary Nakyanzi, a 3-year-old resident of Nakifuma, Nagalama in Mukono District.

The child was allegedly stabbed to death by one Richard Musisi at about 1 am today.

According to Asp Luke Owoyesigyire Deputy PRO KMP, the hunt for the suspect, who fled the scene after the incident started immediately

Under pressure, the suspect handed himself over to the police.

The suspect later led the police to a banana plantation where a knife covered (murder weapon) in blood was recovered.

“It has been handed over to Government Analytical Laboratory, Wandegeya, for analysis. The body of the deceased child was also conveyed to the mortuary at Mulago for a post mortem” says Owoyesigyire.

The police are currently trying to establish the motive of the murder.
