Land Broker Murdered in Masajja, Suspect Arrested
Police in Kampala Metropolitan Area are investigating the brutal murder of a 31-year-old land broker, Kakembo Geoffrey, who was allegedly stabbed to death by a colleague in Kibiri A, Masajja, Makindye Division.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango, the incident occurred on Thursday, October 16, 2025, along Busabala Road, when Mukisa Tonny, a fellow land broker and agent, reportedly attacked Kakembo while they were driving in Kakembo’s vehicle, registration number UBP 620S.
Preliminary findings indicate that the two were traveling together shortly after Kakembo had picked up his car from a parking yard. It is alleged that Mukisa stabbed Kakembo in the neck during the drive, causing the vehicle to lose control and draw the attention of a nearby lorry driver.
Upon checking the scene, the lorry driver reportedly found Mukisa attempting to support the injured Kakembo.
Police recovered a blood-stained knife from the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Mukisa was immediately arrested at the scene, with blood stains visible on his clothing.
“The scene was thoroughly examined, eyewitness statements were recorded, and the suspected murder weapon was recovered,” SSP Onyango said in a statement.
Kakembo’s body was conveyed to Mulago National Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination. Meanwhile, Mukisa is currently in custody as police continue with investigations to establish the motive behind the murder.
