Residents of Gulu City were treated to a vibrant taste of the upcoming ObaFest during the weekend, as Bell Lager hosted a mini-ObaFest experience at Kweyo Village. This lively event set the stage for the eagerly anticipated ObaFest scheduled for Sunday, October 22nd at Jahazi Pier.
The Gulu experience was electrified with sensational performances by renowned local artists including Pato Loverboy, Pretty B, the Dance Masters Troupe, and Eezy. The entertainment was expertly complemented by the engaging hosting of MCs Mercy, Young Moni, and Lucky.
Bell Lager’s ObaFest is a festival celebrating East African cuisine, music, and culture. The Gulu event offered a glimpse of what the festival has in store, featuring delectable cuisines from South Sudan, exciting group games such as matatu, ludo, snakes and ladders, and, of course, chilled Bell Lager to enhance the festivities.
A highlight of the experience was a spirited mini-parade featuring a convoy of Bell Lager-branded matatus, synonymous with the lively public transport culture of Kenya, bringing a wave of enthusiasm as they arrived in the city.
Grace Amme, the Bell Lager brand manager, shared her excitement about the event, stating, “Gulu was truly a vibe and just a taste of what we have in store for the consumers this Sunday at Jahazi Pier. ObaFest will be a first-of-its-kind celebration of beer, culture, and all that makes us proud to be East African.”
