Four people shot dead in Amudat

Police in Amudat District have launched a manhunt for unknown assailants who shot and killed four people. The incident happened on Sunday 4/2/2024 at about 03:30pm. 

According to IP Longole Mike the Ag. PRO MT Moroto/AST, the deceased person’s who were traveling in Motorvehicle Reg. No. UBP 601Q Toyota Harrier black in colour were shot dead by suspected armed thugs along Lemusui Road, in Akonguyo village, Amudat Subcounty, Amudat District. 

He told the media that a team of detectives visited the scene together with the canine unit and established that all the four victims are from Mbale, no arrest made.

However, Longole says that some tangible evidence was recovered and statements were recorded from witnesses to support  investigations.

The  bodies were conveyed to Amudat Hospital mortuary for Postmortem and collection by the relatives.

Motive of this murder is yet to be established but investigations are ongoing.
