Remains of child found in Nabweru with some missing body parts

The decomposed remains of 2-year-old Keeya Adrian who went missing two weeks ago have been discovered.

The body was found at around 1700hrs on 12th November 2023, in a swamp, in Maganjo B, Nabweru Division. Keeya, was reported missing on 2nd November 2023 by her aunt, Ainembabazi Masitula, after he had been entrusted to her care by the victim’s mother, Kyalikunda Carol of Wankulukuku, Kitebi.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police says that the body, was missing the head, hands, and legs. It was reported to the secretary for women in Maganjo ‘B,’ who then alerted the police.

Police rushed to the scene and recorded statements from witnesses and a crime scene examination was done by the Scene of Crime officer. The victim’s remains were conveyed to Mulago City Mortuary for a thorough postmortem examination.

Owoyesigyire says that inquiries are ongoing, and urged the community to remain vigilant and cooperative with law enforcement agencies. He further requested anyone with information relevant to this case to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.
