Fally Ipupa Records Low Turn Up In Kampala

On the 29th of September and the 1st of October 2023, Uganda was graced with the presence of the global icon, Fally Ipupa, in an eventful series of performances that left the nation buzzing with excitement.

Fally Ipupa’s journey to Uganda had a rocky start back in 2019 when the events promoting company, 243 Events, paid him a hefty £85,000 upfront, with an additional £10,000, for a performance that never materialized. However, the wait was finally over, and Fally Ipupa made his long-awaited debut on the Ugandan stage, starting with an electrifying performance in Arua on the 29th of September, 2023.

In Arua, Fally Ipupa’s arrival was met with an overwhelming turnout of enthusiastic fans who had eagerly anticipated his performance. He did not disappoint, delivering a series of electrifying shows that left the audience captivated and dancing the night away.

While the show in Arua was a resounding success, things took a different turn in Kampala, where Fally Ipupa had his final performance at Kampala Sheraton Gardens on the 1st of October, 2023. Despite high expectations and anticipation, the turnout in Kampala failed to match the fervor witnessed in Arua on the previous Friday. The spacious gardens did not reach their maximum capacity, surprising many attendees.

Although the performance in Kampala was still commendable, there was a palpable sense of disappointment among fans who had hoped for a larger and more energetic crowd.

During his performances in both Arua and Kampala, the Congolese crooner generously invited lucky fans to join him on stage, fulfilling a dream for many who had longed for such an opportunity. Fally Ipupa’s mesmerizing dance skills left the audience not only in awe but also on their feet, grooving to the irresistible tunes of the exceptionally talented artist.
