Woman burns husband with hot water for coming back home late

Police in Kasangati is searching for a woman who poured hot water on her husband, leaving him scalded.

The incident happened at the couple’s home in Lusanja, Kasangati town council in Wakiso District on Tuesday. The suspect has been identified as Maurine Onziru who without second thought poured hot water on her husband Steven Okello accusing him of coming back home late.  The couple has been living together for two years.

Neighbors allege that when Okello who is a saloon operator returned home, Onzuru demanded an explanation as to why he had returned home late.  The woman later entered the kitchen and returned with hot water which she poured on her husband right from the head to the low parts of the body.

The deputy police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Luke Owoyesigyire says that the police are hunting for Onziru as investigations continue.
