Uganda’s COVID-19 Deaths nearing 200 mark
191 Ugandans have succumbed to the COVID-19 since its outbreak in March 2020. According to the health ministry, 5 COVID-19 deaths registered on Tuesday 24th 2020, bring the number to 191.
484 new cases were also confirmed from samples taken on 24 November 2020. This brings the total cumulative confirmed cases to 18,890. Recoveries are now at 8,832.
The breakdown of the 484 contacts and alerts: Kampala (214), Kasese (79), Mbarara (22), Masaka (18), Soroti (17), Wakiso (20), Kabale (11), Katakwi (10), Ntungamo (8), Mbale (10), Kaabong (5), Tororo (6), Iganga (5), Kaberamaido (4), Rubirizi (4) and Mukono (4).
Others are; Kabarole (4), Bundibugyo (5), Lyantonde (5), Napak (3), Ngora (3), Kibuku (3), Gulu (3), Kamuli (2), Bunyangabo (2), Mubende (2), Kotido (2), Kabale (1), Sembabule (1), Butambala (1).
