Ugandan recording artist and multi-instrumentalist, Aliddeki Brian, took center stage at the renowned Sauti za Busara Festival in Zanzibar, Tanzania, leaving the audience mesmerized with his dynamic performance. The festival, celebrated from 9th to 11th February 2024, showcased the richness of African music and culture, with Aliddeki Brian proudly representing Uganda on the global stage.
Aliddeki Brian’s electrifying performance on the festival’s opening night played to a full house, captivating the international crowd and leaving them craving more. The audience danced to his tunes, prompting an encore after his one-hour set. His exceptional talent in playing multiple traditional instruments set his performance apart, earning him recognition as one of the standout acts at the Festival and solidifying his position as one of Africa’s fastest-rising stars in World Music.
Initially gaining recognition as a semi-finalist in the Pearl of Africa Star Search, Aliddeki Brian’s distinctive musical style, blending traditional Ugandan rhythms, melodies, and instruments with contemporary sounds, has garnered widespread acclaim in the Ugandan music scene. In under two years, he has graced major events such as Nyege Nyege Festival, Afropalooza Festival, Blankets & Wine Festival, World Music Day, and embarked on international tours to Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, and the DRC.
Under the management of Talent Africa Group, Aliddeki Brian, accompanied by CEO Aly Allibhai and his live band, made a lasting impression in Zanzibar, showcasing Uganda’s vibrant cultural identity. His role as a cultural ambassador was evident as he promoted Ugandan heritage on the international stage, contributing to the global recognition of Uganda’s music scene.
