Ugandan Model And Actress Aamito Lagum Jets In Town A Head Of ASFAs

Both talents jet into the country ahead of the highly coveted ASFAs which are slated for next Friday, 16th December.

The awards this year have a star-studded nomination list and many of the continent’s crème in fashion are expected to jet in.

The arrival of Aamito and Akello is an interesting twist to the plot as both stars have raised the Uganda’s fashion pedigree on the global stage.

Aamito Lagum is a celebrated model and actress. The star recently featured in a blockbuster film, 1000 years of longing, co-starring A-listers such as Idris Elba.

After over a decade of a trailblazing career in the modelling industry, the star is back home in a celebration of her success.

Patricia Akello is a Ugandan professional model, currently signed with Muse Model management in New York city.

She walked the 2017 New York Fashion week, in September, walking the runway for fashion power house Bottega Venetta, and also featured on the cover of the seasoned, Women’s Wear Daily Magazine.

The duo is already in town and will be hosting the Pre-ASFA party and definitely hitting the red carpet at the ASFA show.

Beside Aamito and Akello, various Ugandan style gurus and fashion enthusiasts have been euphoric about showcasing their best collections and style come Friday, next week.
