Social Media influencer Khalid Al Ameri & wife Salama in Uganda

Social media influencer Khalid Al Ameri and his wife have arrived in Uganda for the marriage ceremony of their former house keeper Sarah, a Ugandan who lived with them for 6 years.

Last year, a video of Khalid, his wife and children went viral on social media as they said their goodbyes to Sarah, who at the time was returning to Uganda, to get married.

The couple funded her wedding, but also promised to fly to Uganda, to attend the entire ceremony. This was seen by many as the most beautiful gesture, any Ugandan had ever received from a family they worked for.

There are thousands of Ugandan ladies working in the UAE and on several occasions, they have always complained of maltreatment by their bosses, but Khalid’s family brought out the other picture of how some families treat the ladies, giving many Ugandans some hope, that their children are in good hands.

Sarah says that when she met the coupe, they had nothing. He had just come from school in the United Kingdom.

His wife bought him a camera (power of a good wife) and he started sharing his raw and real sled” Sarah says. Khalid’s video with Sarah has been viewed by 34 million people Now.

On Tuesday, Khalid and the wife touched down at Entebbe and were received by a team from Uganda Tourism Board.

According to Amos Wekesa a tourism expert, the duo will be visiting gorillas and Queen Elizabeth national park.
