Shock as 50 year old man hangs himself following nephew’s death

Residents of Bwami village, Kabarungi parish, in Lwengo town council are in shock after one of their own, 50-year-old Emmanuel Kamanzi took his own life by hanging following the death of his nephew.

According to residents, Kamanzi’s nephew one George Mukasa succumbed to a strange ailment which he has been battling for three days.  

However, they suspect though it has not been confirmed by the health authorities.    

Mukasa was Kamanzi’s only family member and the breadwinner. Last night, the old man took his life fearing what the future held for him.

According to ASP Peter Akampurira the District Police Commander (DPC), police will investigate the matter to establish cause of both Mukasa and Kamanzi’s deaths.
