Pedestrian killed, following early morning accident on Jinja Road involving YY Coach & Fuso truck

Police at Jinja road are investigating a serious accident that turned fatal. The accident happened at around 5:42 am at the city oil petro station along Jinja Road today morning.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy spokesperson KMP says the accident involved motor vehicle UAV 205 X Isuzu bus belonging to YY company, motor vehicle UAR 392E Fuso fighter blue in color, and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian identified as Kabanda John, 70 was rushed to China hospital Naguru where he later died.

Three other victims that is both drivers and one passenger in the Fuso fighter are in critical condition.

They were rushed to different hospitals. Police towed both Motor vehicles to the jinja road parking yard pending inspection.

During the course of the investigation, Owoyesigyire says the scene was visited by a team of officers and preliminary investigations have indicated that the driver of the Fuso fight, while driving recklessly by trying to overtake an unknown Motor Vehicle, ended up colliding with the Bus.
