Over 200 Ugandan acts for Nyege Nyege Afro-Galactic carnival

Taking place from November 14th to 17th at the picturesque Jinja Golf Course. This year’s Nyege Nyege festival promises to be a groundbreaking celebration of music, culture, and creativity, showcasing the vibrant sounds of Uganda and the continent.

Lighting up the festival are over 200 Ugandan acts with national sensations such as Elijah Kitaka, Pia Pounds, Recho Rey, Zex Bilangilangi, Kenneth Mugabi and Suuna Ben, alongside rising stars like, Tai Dai, Mwami, Denesi, Aliddeki Brian and the innovative Professor Joewi, who will introduce audiences to the unique Black Wave genre.

Uganda’s finest DJs will be represented by DJ Ssese, DJ VansS, Kampire, R3igndrops, Janja Deejay, Hibotep, Melvyn DeeJay, DJ Ali Breezy, DJ VXFaisal and many more!

 The festival’s energetic atmosphere will be amplified by charismatic emcees like Adele Kiele, Sheila Salta, and Jokwiz, among others ensuring that every moment is filled with excitement and joy.

The 2024 edition promises an electrifying lineup with a standout feature by Nigeria’s iconic record label, Chocolate City. This collaboration brings together three of its most dynamic talents – Major AJ, Tar1q, and Candy Bleakz – to the shores of the Nile, celebrating the unity and creativity that defines African music.

Major AJ will kick off the showcase with his infectious Afrobeats and lyrical charm, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. Following him, Tar1q will captivate audiences with his smooth vocals and introspective lyrics, embodying the evolution of Nigerian music. Capping off the showcase, Candy Bleakz will bring her fierce style and empowering lyrics, challenging norms and inspiring the crowd.

This year’s festival emphasizes themes of unity, resilience, and the progressive voices shaping Africa’s creative landscape. Known for its inclusive and boundary-pushing lineup, the festival has become a cultural phenomenon, drawing fans from all over the world to celebrate the future of African music.
