Dubai Hosts Exclusive Event to Strengthen Africa-Middle East Business Synergies
A groundbreaking networking event aimed at strengthening Africa-Middle East business relations is set to take place at the prestigious Atlantis the Royal Hotel Dubai on December 4, 2024.
The Elite’s Jamboree, themed “Africa and Middle East Next Generation Connect,” will bring together
business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors from both regions.
The exclusive, invitation-only will encompass for an evening of fine dining, live entertainment, and meaningful connections.
Strategically timed to coincide with the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, the event promises to attract a distinguished gathering of visionaries who share a commitment to unlocking Africa’s immense potential.
“Despite all the work we have done to connect the two regions there’s still so much to be done. For
example, in the food sector, Africa has the largest mass of arable land while UAE imports 80% of its
food. In finance, UAE has access to venture capitalists and global investors while Africa has gaps in resourcing its sectors,” says Dr. William Stenhouse, founder of the UAE-Africa Networking Group.
The event’s “Party with a Purpose” theme underscores its mission to foster cross-cultural understanding and collaborative opportunities between Africa and the Middle East.
Despite the vast synergies and untapped potential between the two regions, a persistent knowledge gap has hindered meaningful
engagement.
Agbara Ada, founder of Estilo de Vida Events Management and curator of the Elite’s Jamboree,
emphasizes the event’s unique approach: “Most of the life-changing connections that I have made in my life started out as casual conversations with a colleague or client at work or in a social setting.
In a world where everything has been digitalized, it is important that we make conscious efforts to participate in empowerment programs to put ourselves on the map while preparing ourselves individually to grow.”
Boni Nyaga, CEO of Mawaitha Africa, who will be leading a Kenyan delegation to the event, notes: “I
travel a lot between Africa and the Middle East, speaking and attending various events, and I am baffled at how little we actually know about each other.
Dubai for example has the most cosmopolitan and open society in the history of the world, where anyone from anywhere can prosper, while Africa has the largest deposit of untapped human and natural resources.”
