Comedy store returns with a bang

Last Wednesday evening, Roza Dymz was the place to be for the weekly Comedy store musical and comedy night.

Being the second edition at the venue, all went well at the event from the big numbers that came through to the executions on the stage.

Known for being a comedy and musical affair, the sold out event did not disappoint with every act putting up their best showcase of the evening.

The night started at 8pm with Kalera Omusoga hosting it while the Heavy Band kicked off the performances. Their live performance lasted more than 40 minutes where they did covers of Ugandan, African and oldies music to keep the audience occupied before the comedians including Bobi Brown and Nilo Nilo, Napoleon Emma and Madrat and Chiko took the audience on a journey of skits.

Warafiki, the new kids on the block got an opportunity to sing on the same stage with legendary Maddoox Ssemanda Sematimba during the event.

The artistes not only performed but also impressed during their showcase that had them doing songs like Bwekati and their latest single Tetubafanana.

Their dance routines, vocal abilities, and stage presence excited many in the audience who were seen singing along to the songs.

The weekly show had Maddox headlining it with his all-time classics including Namagembe, Nakatudde, Kampala, Easy and Omukwano among others while Isaac Rucci also performed at the event.

Being both a musical and comedy show, Mariachi was clearly the best comedian during the evening with his same jokes that the crowd can’t stop enjoying every time he steps on stage.
